{whistle}......Calling all squirrels....the yellow substance is food..I repeat, the yellow substance is food! Posted by Hello

They have arrived!

The squirrels have finally discovered the custom feeder I have built for them. However, I think they are only there to eat the sunflower seed that I placed on their chair in order to lure them to it. I think these city squirrels have no clue what corn is and they still have yet to nibble on some. I will report this occurance when it happens. Stay tuned for the next episode!

Nibbling away at the sunflower seeds placed on the chair. Does this idiot realize that corn is a squirrels favorite food as well? Hello...... Posted by Hello

Skeptical that this contraption is not a trap after harrassing these little guys for so long. Posted by Hello

This is where the leaping squirrels performed their scheme. Posted by Hello

They chewed through the hanging handle on the bird feeder to feast on the scattered seeds.  Posted by Hello

What's left of the plant holder that once embraced our spider plant. Notice its mangled threads tethered twenty feet above its previous hanging spot. Posted by Hello

just look at the possessed little eyes he has when looking at the seeds in the feeder. It's like 'squirrel crack'....I am serious! Posted by Hello

Yes, you.........you are a bastard! Posted by Hello

Squirrels....love'm..hate'm

I have to talk about my latest battle at the 'homefront'. Being that I am unemployed and going to school full-time, I have the ability to spend my days at the house. I am enjoying my time with my cats while my wife is at work and also getting to know the wildlife that surrounds our little house in Campbell/San Jose. Noticing the hummingbirds enjoying our landscape was pretty interesting and also noticing little holes dug throughout our yard was not very interesting. I now notice after a few days that we have the privilege of being the new property owners of a family of squirrels. Yes....these guys run like gypsy's tree to tree until they feel comfortable enough to make one particular tree its resting place. This resting place happens to be our back-yard. The holes are from the little baby monsters figuring out that they can hide things in the ground. They are also munching on little twigs and branches like little beavers and have dropped all kinds of brush into our back-yard. There is now a squirrel city in this tree as all the nibbling was leading to the construction of new homes for the growing baby squirrels. A few days ago, I awoke to find that our tree-hung spider plant was laying upside down on the ground and the hanging plant holder was gone. As you will see in the pictures, I found it a day later 20 feet up in the tree. The squirrels wanted to make luxury sleeping quarters with the material the plant holder consisted of and getting it stuck on a branch while trying. Only to leave it at an unreachable spot at the top of the tree.

A few days later, I felt it would be a nice idea to get some bird feeders in the back-yard for the birds. I think it would be interesting to watch wildlife in your yard. What I forgot to think about was that sunflower seeds are a squirrels favorite. Almost like it could be sold on the squirrel black market for 'squirrel crack'. Maybe not quite like that...but you get the idea. The feeder only lasted 2 days until the squirrels leaped from the trees and held onto the cast-iron pole that the feeders were suspended from and ate the seed. Not only did they eat the seed....they were so tired of the balancing act they had to pull of each time, that one ate through the handle that allowed the bird feeder to hang. This action left the feeder in its most vulnerable location as the squirrels took advantage of the scattered seeds.

I am now trying to train my cats to attack the squirrels because of their nuisance behavior. However, I am an animal lover and began to construct a squirrel feeder so they could have their own little chow table and they can leave the bird feeders alone. I spend 2 hours constructing a squirrel chair that they can use to feed on corn. I will be sure to report their behavior in order to see if my plan to...'All get along' works. If not...back to training the cats! :-)

Being Unemployed Sucks!

Let me tell you for a brief second just how much being unemployed sucks.........It's pretty sucky! That pretty much sums it up! What is even worse is that I sit here each day trying to do the responsible thing and work on School work morning to evening to move as far forward as possible and I still feel like a damn loser. Then you have to deal with the pressures of society and how they view unemployed individuals.....they write you off as a washed up loser. Society can be a real pain in the ass, especially when they feel you have to work a minimum of 5 days a week from early morning to late evening until you are 65 years old. What? Hey Pfizer.....forget about trying to find the female version of Viagra....do studies on slowing down the aging process! At that age, I am going to be laying in bed hoping all my internal organs operate properly so I see another day. Not that I would not take a job working long hours...I have been doing it for years and well into my early years starting at the young age of 13. I have held a job every year following and at the age of thirty....(do the math here)...I have worked for myself and our society for 17 years. That's a long time! Still feel like a failure...not really...but {through the eyes of society}. I am a hard worker and very much a self-starter....so anyone interested in someone with a passion for marketing give me a call! Google....anyone? PLEASE {free plug there...why not, this is my blog}

I am not certain as to what started this whole rant, but all I know is that I am no longer working for the fake people I once was and feel I owe myself and SOCIETY by being back out there working my fingers to the bones............Because being unemployed Sucks!

A Night at the Improv

A long week of school work and being unemployed has me anticipating a weekend with my wife and friends! My friend Sean buys tickets to go see Mark Curry at the Improv on Saturday night downtown San Jose. I finally meet his other friend for the first time as they stop by the house to pick my wife and I up to go. Heading out to San Jose Bar and Grill for a few drinks while waiting to see when the line grows across the street at the Improv. While there we start off with Long Island Ice Teas...my wife got some blue colored drink and all was great. Another friend Al shows up to hang with us while we wait. Round two comes by before we decide to get in line for the show. I cant forget to mention that my wife made a pitcher of margarits before we left the house...(get the night started). Feeling good, we go inside after waiting about 40 minutes. We met two other ladies that Sean knew and they attended the show as well. i must say, this has been the fourth show my wife and I have seen at the Improv and have not been disappointed yet. If you have not gone....GO! The warm-up comedians were hilarious and Mark Curry was off the hook. Certainly was not Hangin with Mr. Cooper! At the show I enjoyed a shot of Cuervo 1800 with Sean and downed the two drink minimum with Cosmos. As the show came to an end, Sean and I had to break for the mens room upstairs. Can't forget the ladies night out with the soon to be bride asking me if I wanted a "suck for a buck". Nothing like a group of drunk women cheering you as your pulling up your zipper on the way out of the mens room. haha. As Sean and I came to the bottom of the stairs, Mark Curry stood there and greeted us and shook our hands. Pretty cool dude!

So the night continues as we cross the street to see the once desolate San Jose Bar and Grill packedwith people. We decide to go back in and get down to the music....and of course..more booz! I beileve I finished off another Long Island and back out in the streets we go to find Sean sitting in a window seal making out with ....(a girl). AS we pryed him away from her, we went on a tour around the block in a drunken manner yelling at people and heading back into another club for last call. This time Sean is tore up and spanking girls dancing on stage and almost getting tossed a few minutes from last call....so it was worth it..i guess? Finishing off the night with a rum and coke I was feeling good. We all stumbled out of the club and enjoyed being driven by Ananth (desiganted driver)....babysitter of Sean! Great night of drinking with my wife and friends. Sunday sucked ass and I did not get much done, but it was worth the night out! HEADACHE

Recent trip to SF. Look mom......no fog! Posted by Hello

First Blog ?

Today is the first time ever writing in my diary. I have much to learn about blogging.....but will be basic until I get the hang of it.

Not much happening today other than trying to get through my Marketing class as I am going into week three. Public Relations seems to be very interesting, however, I am not sure I would want it as a career. It seems to be one that requires many hours at the company simply to keep on top of all the changes made on a daily basis.

I am looking forward to the weekend and hanging out with some friends. Saturday we will go downtown San Jose to the Improv to see Mark Curry perform. Should be a good time. I will be sure to write about the experience. Good night!
